District office Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf
About this assembly
The District Advisory Council maintains close contact with social and political actors and maintains ongoing dialogue and networking. We work empathically, transparently and in a goal-oriented manner. Accepting and respectful cooperation is a matter of course for us.
About the Advisory Board
The Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf District Advisory Council wants to give diversity in the district a voice, peacefully and regardless of origin. We want to establish a new social image in which all people from different backgrounds, religions and cultures feel at home together. We want to shape cooperation effectively and actively in diversity, variety and multiplicity. Mutual respect, recognition of our different values and respect for our diversity are the foundations of our commitment.
Self-image
The members of the District Advisory Council are involved on a voluntary basis and in various contexts. We see ourselves as bridge builders and as the voice of the migrant communities in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district. We want to create a diverse and open society in the district, and communication and cohesion are important to us.
Tasks and objectives
The district advisory council combines the professional and intercultural competencies of the members, sets topics and helps shape them politically and socially. We want to sensitize the majority society when it comes to dealing with diversity. We are contact and interest representatives for citizens and actors on activities and measures in the various relevant subject areas in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district.
Members of the District Advisory Council
Miguel Góngora
My name is Miguel Góngora, I am 20 years old and I have been politically active for almost 12 years. First I was chairman of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf children's and youth parliament, then in 2020 Berlin's state student representative and since 2022 AStA chairman at the HWR Berlin. In addition to my work on the district advisory council, I study law for public administration at the HWR Berlin and work part-time on the staff of the Vice President of the Federal Office for the Safety of Nuclear Waste Management.
My main areas of focus on the District Advisory Council are education, youth, anti-discrimination and inclusion (for all). It is particularly important to me to make Berlin's administrative structures more accessible for everyone and to eliminate all forms of discrimination.
Personal motto:
Even the longest journey begins with the first small step! Accept or change!

I want to prevent the problems that are the reasons for the constitution of this committee from arising in the future in the first place, but address them in the education of young people in order to prevent them.
